This was a funny thread!

In sweden dachshund is "tax" like paying your taxes (?!) I have no idea why they are called that!?

I like dachshund better. I think it decribes the breed better... like badgerdog or tekel. I like those to.

I surely hope we dont see two diferent types of doxies in the future. It will ruin the breed....

In Norway we usually just call them dachs. Hund means dog in Norwegian, and since dachshunds obviously are dogs we don't feel the need to say more than dachs (but we can if we want).

And we usually specify which dachshund we have since there are nine different types.
