Welcome to the Forum.. I am new myself. We have a 5 month old male mini silky wire hair.

We were in Thatcher for the 4th of July many years ago. We were surprised that Thatcher's parade started at 6:00 a.m. Of course we understood that any later would have been too hot for the marchers.

Hi Gary - no they do not beg for our food if they already know what is on their "mummy and daddy's" plate is off limits there should be no problems. If anything i have found they are least likely to as they know what the taste is sorry for the late reply

Oh wow. I am in the Phoenix area now. But I was born and raised in Tucson. Need to get out of AZ completely though, way to hot! lol

I'm just wondering what part of Arizona you are in. I lived in Tucson in the 1960's, and my dad is buried Thatcher.

These are, in my humble opinion, the most loving, loyal, bravest, and social critters on the planet. I was blessed beyond my knowledge, at the time, when I rescued, Freddy, he smiles, and is on a mission to beat the hair off of his tail, banging it against anything in reach, as he pours out his love on anybody in sight, L.O.L.... Since then we have been blessed with two pups we have raised, and one more rescue, all of which have wonderful personalities.

Just curious, since they're getting the same food as you, do they ever beg at the table? We have been very consistent in never giving "human" food to our puppies (10 mo. old and 6 mo. old), the only exception being a small amount of ice cream in the summer, but served in their bowls outside on the deck. As a result, they don't know what our food tastes like, other than their imagination translating from the smell. I can have one or the other sit on my lap at the table and cuddle without trying to get at my food.

I had to laugh at your post where you said your son was not rich, so the DNA test is probably affordable!! =) Sounds like my daughter!!! If she can afford it, it's not much..!

Oh, gosh - I'm picking up my new boy doxie on Sept.1. He is also 7 months old and I've never owned a dox before. My plan was also to use the pee pads as our yard is not fenced in...I hope you get a good answer to your questions soon!!
