Question Wilbur’s mystery pain

Hello
My 6yr old male has started screeching when picked up or placed down on the floor.
He had an issue with his right front leg as a puppy and it seemed to dislocate momentarily making his leg stretch out and in a lot a pain.By the time we reached the emergency vet he was fine.
I feel ever since then there’s been a weakness there and now and again he will show signs of some discomfort.
Now he has screeched several times over two weeks and the vet can’t find what is wrong.
It’s when you pick him up even very slowly and down that it happens.
They have now suggested pain relief and then a scan.
It’s very frustrating not knowing the cause and watching him unhappy.
Any suggestions or ideas from other owners ?

I would definitely go for the scan just to rule out a back problem. If you have a vet practice that specializes in orthopedics that might be a good choice. Until you can do that, I'd avoid picking him up since it's causing him pain which is usually indicative of some kind of problem. Good luck and keep us posted
