How much does a mini dachshund normally weigh at 4 months?

Farfel just turned 4 months and she's just under 6lbs... She'll only be 9lbs at full size. That's pretty tiny!

The rule of thumb I've learned by talking to breeders is to take the weight of puppy at 12 wks old and double it. That will give you the adult weight.

3.5# though at 4 months sounds about right.

Nola (who's 7 1/2 - 8lbs now), was 4lbs at 4 months. She finished growing at about 11 months.

Bree is 11 months old now and I hope he stays at his current weight of 11.2 lbs. Of course I love him no matter what, but smaller makes it easier to travel with him..
