New Puppy/Color advice

Hello from Aruba!
I have a 6 yrs old Black/Tan Apollo and in 2 weeks will be getting a new puppy!
Still have not decided on the color. Need some advice
The brown ones (with a mask), what color will they be when older? see attached photo)

Congrats on the new puppy!
I think you have a shaded red there. Dachshunds also come in chocolate so you shouldn't call that color of puppy brown. Reds vary quite a bit in the doxie world. Didn't the breeder tell you the color of your puppy?
We have a 5 month old and have been enjoying the puppiness.

The Mother is Black Tan and the Father is light red. Grandparents (mother's side) are Black/Tan and Chocolate/Tan
The breeder is a 'first timer' and does't know the color either.

I will love him either way but was just wondering since the puppy has that funny 'mask'
