Howdy everyone, my first Doxies (Bell) was about 2 year after I married my wife 25 years ago and since then we've had 4 (Duke, Buster & Alley). My wife has had Dachshunds all of her life and today her mother has Rocky (son of our Bell and Duke). Sadly, all of our Doxies have passed on, Buster was the last, went in 2015. Currently I have 2 rescues Brodie (a Shih tzu) and Sadie (a Basset) but long for another Doxie. Currently we don't have the ability to get another dog, but when things clear up and calm down it's high on my list.

Hi and welcome from Canada! Funny how your 2 rescues are both long dogs with short legs. Doxie wanta bees. lol
We currently have 3 doxies that are smooth coats. Do you have a coat or color preference?

We've never had a long haired Doxie but chances are high that's what we'll get next time around. First we had Bell (black and tan), then Duke (brown), Alley (brown) and Buster (another black and tan).
