how do i add a photo to a post or a reply?

How do i add a photo to a post or reply? a small box comes up and says to type in the url of the photo but i am trying to upload it from my external harddrive. I was just wondering what i need to do to upload pictures. Thank you!

You can attach pics, but I prefer uploading them to Photobucket and then copying the IMG code on here, then the photo is fully displayed without people having to click on it.

to attach a pic you have to hit the post reply button under the last post, instead of the quick reply button, it'll take you to another page, then there'll be the little paperclip icon to attach a pic... the pic'll show up like this
