Hello,

I'm new here, and new to dachshunds, let alone double dapple!
As I understand it, it acts much like a double merle gene?

Annabel is just under a year old, and seems to be mostly blind and deaf.

I don't have any experience of double dapples but have had some experience of a dog who lost its hearing, lots of love and patience.

There is loads of good advice here on the forum so have a good look round and read all the posts. Would love to see some photos if you have some.

Welcome! You should be able to post pics from your phone by uploading them to photobucket first. Or attach them from here, but I have trouble with that.

Oh and double dapple is the same thing as double merle... just our doxies are so special they need a different name for it! Lol
