Sounds fine, but keep an eye on him. Watson was like a tank when he was a puppy. He'd fall over, run into things, and one time DH accidentally dropped him on the concrete (he was squirming.) He yelped/screamed real bad (and I freaked out) but he was totally fine.

Watson gets so excited to wear his sweater!! It's getting very icy tonight, so I put it on him to take him out. He started pouncing around when I got it out, and then came over to me and stood on his back legs so I could put it on over his head and front legs! Such a silly boy :)

I second what Nell said. My dachshund Dr Watson is a total momma's boy. He loves his daddy, but mostly for playtime and sometimes cuddles. With me though, he can never wait until my lap and hands are free from my laptop and phone, and will hop right up and fall asleep. They're funny little dogs...
