Have you checked allergies? And food-allergies? My long-haired has food allergies (rice, pork, wheat) and when he was at his worse his skin looked a little bit like that. He had infections all over his body. :( If nothing else works, I'd consult the vet about starting elimination diet.

She's so cute! :) I love her head. My dapple dachsie has "shaded" tans also, but that hasn't affected his dog show results. My other dachsie has light brown eyes and some judges don't like that. :D It's a beauty contest in a way, so it's about opinions. I'd definitely take her to a dogshow! :)...

Yep, cat poop is a treat. :P My dog stopped going for the litter box when he was about 7 months. Even though it's not bad for them, I didn't let him eat the poop. I lifted the litter box on higher ground until it didn't interest him anymore.
