Not really, doxies are pretty hyperactive dogs. They are always on the go. They will eventually settle down some, but I have no idea when. My boy is so hyper its unbelieveable he has so much energy, he's 11 months.

    Help training!

Your welcome! Aside from removing the blanket, I'm not sure. You could try taking it out and see how she does. Jax used to sleep with a blanket or something in his crate, but he would just push it aside and sleep on the bottom. It's worth a try.

    Help training!

Are you going to bed at 10? Try putting things up at 7, that will make it 3 hours. It could help. Also, before you take her out the last time for the night, get her to really play, wear her little tail out. That will help her sleep :) We still do that for Jax lol Our sleep schedule varies, but...

    attached!

Yup, doxies are that way. Jax is most certainly a momma's boy. He loves my husband too, will play with him and everything else. But when I come in, his attention is all on me. While I was sedated at the hospital (i had surgery at the end of May) my husband and my mom (she came up from TX for...

    Help training!

For sleeping through the night, put her food up 3 hours before you go to bed. It'll make it so there is nothing in her system to make her need to go. That's what I did with Jax when he was about 6 weeks. He has slept through the night since. As for letting me know he needs out, he still doesn't...

    Idea's?

A carrot cake might be good. I thought about looking up some, but I wanted to see if anyone here has tried any that was good first.

I wish I looked this good..

Well, if I had a female pup I would probably match too :) I'm not so much dress-up crazy with Jax as I had been when I had small female dogs. Although I did try, he doesn't like it too much lol

    Idea's?

Well, Jax is 11 months today. Can't believe he is almost 1 yr already. He's grown up to fast lol. But, I want to make a healthy but yummy dog cake for him. Has anyone made one for their doxie? Or does anyone have a good recipe for one? Maybe also healthy for a cat too, It's also his buddy...

I tried Jax on Skype while talking with my mom. He becomes a absolute wiggle worm till he is out of the cam's view. Guess he doesn't like being in front of the camera lol.

    :)

I don't think I've given Jax any carrots yet. Wonder if he will eat them :) I totally understand not being able to do a whole lot in that area. I'm in the same boat, got a extra paddle ;) lol It sucks but we do what we can. We get a lot of our veggies/fruits from my husbands parents and aunt...

    :)

Well made it through Jax's first experience with fireworks. Didn't help to much with the neighbor's kids shooting them off next door, and in the field behind us. So, Jax would start whinning and trying to constantly get in our laps, or pacing around like a chicken with its head cut off. So...
