Teaching an old dog new tricks

He will pick up basic words really fast. Porkchop figured out "No" in no time at all. If he gets that treat with "Sit" he will be doing what you want him to do in no time.

    Hi

Yea Porkchop will eat anything and everything as well. He does stop when an onion falls on the floor but for everything else he's just like a trout to a fly. I will throw him a green bean or other small piece of plant life every so often.

Problem bonding with my mini dach

He still follows her around the house and wants to know what she is up to. They are naturally curious and always want to know...

    Hi

Well, I guess the picture was too big. Anyway, his name is Porkchop. He's a short hair midi. He goes about 13.5 pounds. We are trying to get him under 13 right now. The little guy would eat himself stupid if we let him. He's the best dog that's ever owned me.

Help me understand why I lost my Dachshund.

So sorry for your loss. Our 3 year old just got back from the vet last week with a disc problem. He was Rx'd muscle relaxers and anti inflammatories. Sounds like the same stuff your Dachshund was Rx'd. My vet said Dachshunds just have bad discs. I'm not going to let Porkchop jump off of anything.
