Hi! Welcome from TX! I am mom to Dr. Watson, who is also long-haired. His ears and tail tuft (not a flag, just a little bit that stuck off at the end of his tail) started growing when he was pretty young, but he didn't start getting long fur anywhere else for a long time...maybe around a year...

That sounds like Texas! As soon as it starts coming down everyone freaks...if it builds up to a couple inches the schools will be closed, etc. And no one has tire chains or anything, so it all basically shuts down!

Aww cute! Watson never has. And I tried howling myself to get him to join in (like people in the video) but he just gets all excited and gets up in my face to see what I'm doing. He's almost 2 now, so I guess maybe we just didn't teach him early enough.

Welcome! He is adorable! I love his name - Toy Story is my favorite movie and for a while I wanted to name a dachshund Slinky (but we finally settled on Dr. Watson, lol.) Glad you're here!

He'd still eat it, sadly. He like to tear up various socks/t-shirts/underwear that he finds. We like to call him our adorable little asshole :)

Awww!!! Then his coat will definitely get much longer. Watson is going on 2 years and his is still growing and changing each time he gets/sheds a coat.

Pretty boy! Definitely long haired, and everything looks normal. His coat is similar to my boy Watson's (except Watson is red.) Most long haireds actually don't get the full, crazy-long coat that is most often seen, that's a bit more rare but usually what you see in show dogs. How old is Duke?

Congratulations! I don't have any babies or kiddos so I don't have much advice (sorry!) but I had to say that I LOVE that one of yours is named Chewbacca...that's Dr. Watson's middle name, haha! I hope you find some useful info, and good luck on the rest of your pregnancy & beyond!! :)
