    Peanut problems. :(

There are tons of homemade Kong stuffing recipes online that are safe for pups. I'd just Google it. :) For my little guy, I use Peanut Butter, honey, banana and cherrios. I freeze it for 15-20 minutes then give it to him. He goes crazy for it! If she doesn't like PB, try just fresh fruit...

    Peanut problems. :(

Try re-introducing her to the toys - stuffing the Kongs with new flavors; playing different types of games. Maybe the toys are just getting boring. I know my boy gets bored with his toys and shreds them. He will play with a toy for weeks then all the sudden just ignores the toy for a couple...

Tricks - Leave It and Lay Down

LOL! Sounds like Peanut and Yosuke are similar. Nemo sounds just like my first dachshund. We barely taught him sit, stay and watch me - let alone anything else! I think Peanut and Yosuke will get it eventually... just gotta keep trying. I never have more than 15 min training sessions with...

Tricks - Leave It and Lay Down

Thank you! :D I'll try it out and see how that goes. I don't like "helping" him lay down either. I tried luring him down before helping him and he didn't seem to understand. I think I'll try with a higher value treat.

Tricks - Leave It and Lay Down

We've been working on tricks/obedience with Yosuke, our 7 month old dachshund. He's doing really well with sit, stay and get down; however, leave it and lay down are just not working. I think I'm just doing it wrong. For lay down - I first have him sit (treat); then put my hand all the way...

    Thunder storms

Thundershirts work really well. Definitely give those a try - or just get a doggie tshirt and pop it into the dryer for a minute to warm it up. That worked for us when we couldn't get a Thundershirt in store in the past. We also give our boy a stuffed Kong or a "high value" chewie - something...

    3mo old needing a home

Do you want advice on how to find the best possible home? Or are you asking if any of us want to adopt her? Either way, you should consider posting a little more information on her - DOB, medical records, where you got her from, pictures, name, rehoming fee, registered, etc.

Wigs and costumes for pets.. red doxie model...

Just.... wow. I couldn't do the wigs. I'm barely able to do bandanas or jackets for the rain/snow. Wigs on my cat!? She'd just pee on my side of the bed in the middle of the night again (what she does when she's mad at me...).

Spending to much time with puppy?

We left our pup alone while for quick trips (errands and such) and lunch/dinner dates as long as we only planned to be gone for less than an 1.5 hours while potty training. We crate trained him - if you haven't I highly recommend it - so when we did leave he had a "safe" place to be while we...

Welcome and Hello from Kentucky! :D Our little English cream guy is 7 months old too! Share pics with us when you can. We love to see them!

    Cookie Time!

That completely explains why training with hand signals only and no voice command has been doing better for us! Love it! We have (almost) completely switched over to signs - that I made up - instead of voice commands for training. The only thing we use voice commands for are "down" and...

Mouse has taken to cuddling with my head!

LOL! This is an every night thing with snoring for me now too. Yosuke loves to sleep on my pillows, thus on my head. I don't blame him! He too sticks his nose right inside my ear. I apparently giggle in my sleep now because of it. hhaha

That's what I thought! I honestly think it's just the owner that makes it difficult. :D

    Warning from Sweden - robo-grasscutter

I didn't even know they made those! Crazy! I guess that's like robo-vacuums too. I don't use them. So sad that the dog lost it's tail. :(

    lump around hip bone?!

Definitely could be from shots like others have said. I've never had any problems with shot reactions, but we also take precautions and get an Benadryl shot at the same time for them. Always works!

    what to do

Have you considered getting a dog bed or pillow instead of a blanket? You could try one that is soft like a blanket on top. If she pees on that too (or tries to devour it), maybe she is trying to tell you she is unhappy about something. Definitely try the praise/treat when she pees on the...

    Cookie Time!

So cute!! Great looking bunch. I love how your kitty joins in too! Our cat starts the begging, and then the dog joins in. lol Random question... Is it really that different having all deaf pets? So many people say it is very difficult. I think it'd be a challenge at first, but so worth while!
