Hi to all Im a newby

lol..I was hoping you were going to give me some tips on toilet training seeing you had 5! My 5 month old seems to be taking an age to get to grips with it. He goes 4-5 days brilliantly and we think we have cracked it, then he seems to have 3-4 days of going anywhere..well mainly in the kitchen...

    Other Members Of The Family

    Puppy Wont Sleep

I have used a crate with Bernie (never have with any of my other dogs). He did cry for the first few nights (but used tough love & didn't give in to him). I did have the crate area as 1/2 bed & the other half as a toilet area with a training mat. I also found the clock under his fleece &...

    Potty training.

Bernie got the idea quite quickly to go on the training mat, :) and the training mat are near the back door, which is two rooms away from our lounge. He does usually go on command at bedtime & most times I let him out. Where as our old dog will come & gives a "look" to open the door. Bernie...

    caution in climbing stairs

My 5 month old climbs the stairs at weekends when he comes into our bed for a couple of hours (as he wakes at 6.30am which is our weekday getting uptime). But really doesn't have any idea at getting down at the moment, so gets carried down. We use a stair gate to stop him going up unsupervised...

    New member welcome thread..

:) HI I have recently got my first mini wire daxi. He is called Bernie after my dad who recently passed away. He is a little sweet heart. He is getting on well with my 13yr old GSD X which is great. I have had 6 Dalmations & one beagle in the past so I am not used to having such a small dog...
