Feeding time

Wow that's interesting I never heard of breeding past 5. Most people here will stop breeding a female once they turn 5.

I completely agree and that's why when I can't breed my dogs I have now. My breeding program will be done and I will no longer breed anymore.

Yes a lot of breeders after they retire their dogs they will sell them. I couldn't do it I love my dogs to much and would feel to guilty about getting rid of them after I can't breed them anymore.

Yes she was I would have bought her but I have enough dogs especially since I keep all my dogs even after they are retired from breeding.

Akc allows them. It's rare to go to a dachshund event and not see piebalds. Alot of breeders over here breed piebalds my favorite piebald I seen so far was a piebald with brindle markings in it's spots.

Every time I look at the piebalds I think about cows :D

Starr is the perfect mom. Vet was worried she didn't have enough milk after surgey. They told me I was going to have to bottled feed. But Starr is nursing them and doing everything herself I don't have to do anything

Starr is doing great nursing them and cleaning them. We had a few problems trying to get her to leave the puppies at night and go eat and drink. But we fixed it we moved the dishes closer to her bed and the puppies now she can eat and drink while watching her puppies at the same time.

Thank you everyone. We love this litter so far. Piebalds are allowed where I live. Dad was black and tan. Everyone was so shocked that we ended up with so many different colors. But I love Sophie (Starr's twin) She looks so much like Starr even has the tiny little white dot on her chest just...

Puppies first night

Starr loves her puppies she starting to come around and the effects of the medicine are wearing off. Puppies are nursing Starr is cleaning them and doing her mom duties. She was even cuddling with her twin.

We were really shocked about the piebald actually the brindle would have been hers if she wouldn't had canceled because right when she canceled I started interviewing people for the girl spot and found that nice family and they named her sophie. :)

She had 5 4 boys and 1 girl. The girl is the brindle

We clip her nails constantly but it is so stressful on her we don't do it while she's pregnant we will trim it just a little then after she has the puppies we clip them

Starr before her c-section :)

Ya we were worried about the c-section but it doesn't seem that bad we are so excited to see these puppies I am anxiously waiting for my phone to ring and have the vets let me know everything is fine and you have 6 puppies 4 girls and 2 boys :D

She is at the vet. He thought it would be best to do a c-section. Right at this moment they are doing the blood work on her. And at 12:30 he will start the c-section and she will be able to come home at 3 or 4. They said they will call me as soon as the puppies are out and let me know the sexes...

We are at the vet now will keep everyone updated :)
