Our last Dachshund, 17+ year old Samantha, loved when "her" blankets came out of the dryer. She loved being under the covers as far as she could get.

Beautiful dogs. How do you get such nice shiny coats? You can really see it on the Black and Tan. What are you feeding and/or giving them for the nice coat? I have a 5 month old mahogany standard smooth and I want her to have a nice smooth coat if I can.

My 5 month old baby out in the sun enjoying the grass. I am in New York. Some 60 degree days so far. Still a couple snow banks around though.

Our last Dachshund we had for 17+ years never gave indication of wanting to go outside. Our 5 month old is the same way. No indication. You have to stay on top of them all the time. In my opinion it is a Dachshund thing.

Is there any chance you can get her from "the friend"?

We had a female red miniature that lived 17+ years. If i were you i would have filed for 'full custody' at all costs to keep my girl. :)

Today raining here again. Did not go for me in the rain. My sister said she went for her today in the morning. Not sure if it was raining then but it was wet out. Normally she will not go when it is wet out. Does not like the wet on her feet.
