    Integrating dog and cat

I adopted a deaf cat into my 2 deaf dog and 1 hearing dog household with fantastic results. At 16 your cat may not become friends with the dog, but hopefully they'll lesrn to tolerate eachother! Sent from my SGH-I727R using Tapatalk

    Frigid!

We've had insane amounts of snow this year. And alot of cold temps and wind chills here. It was above 0 for Christmas but we had a flash freeze friday night. Temps went from above freezing down to -29C with howling winds in a matter of a few hours. I've never seen anything like it! We...

    Hi and seeking advice

I've never had a Standard either, but technically theres not supposed to be any difference but size. Under 11 is a mini, anything over is a St... but I expect there are some differences. Mouse wasn't fully housetrained until she was 9 months old, but I didn't get her until she was almost 6...

Help with distinguishing between dapple and double dapple

I've been seeing alot of people selling single dapples as doubles. And doubles as triples? ??? If you don't know the colours, you shouldn't be breeding! I'm assuming the confusion is in the amount of colours on the dog (black, silver and white = ttiple) they have no clue that it's about...

    Picture bomb!

I think Munch is ok with the coat because he's been trained to walk in a harness on a leash. A friend photoshoped the leash out of the pic, but he was on a leash in the pic lol. He did walk a little funny tho. And then he went face first in the deep soft snow on the other side of the ploughed...

    am i over paranoid?

If she is eating, feed her canned food, so she gwts lots of water. I wont feed dry food. I feed canned or float their kibble. Dry food is really bad for hydration.

    am i over paranoid?

That is not normal. And the vets shouldn't be sending you home saying she's fine. Also, if she's only 9 weeks, no way in heck should she already have 2 sets of shots! That's ridiculous, and very hard on the immune system. No wonder she's sick! She should not have her first shot until 8...

Help with distinguishing between dapple and double dapple

I do believe they have to register them as chocolate, as they cannot register them as silver.

Help with distinguishing between dapple and double dapple

My boy Boo is registered with the Continental KC as a chocolate piebald... which is absolutely ridiculous as he is a black Double Dapple. Personally, I don't believe the ConKC is a reputable registry. Breeders who dont register colour properly are a major problem with Double Dapples. Boo's...

Help with distinguishing between dapple and double dapple

A Black and tan (silver) dapple will have blue/grey and black spots, with tan 'points' so the blue on the ears would be normal. Doubles aren't unhealthy. That's a very unfortunate misconception. They may have vision or hearing issues, but that won't cause vet bills, just a different style...
