    Integrating dog and cat

    I agree it will take time. You may find they will never be that close but they will definitely learn to live together and develop a healthy respect for each other. Dogs and cats are best introduced as puppies / kittens but they should end up as being well able to tolerate each other. Good luck.

    Hi and welcome from the UK! Dachshunds are really clever, they need to be kept busy or can be naughty if bored etc. They also need exercise, even though they are small dogs they need plenty of stimulation and exercise to keep them fit and healthy. Most are very food orientated so this helps...
