What Do People Say When You're Out With Your Doxie?

What's the most frequent thing you hear when you're out with you Dachshund?
I hear:
"She's so tiny!"
"I didn't know they came in that color"
"I've never seen one so slim"
"I love her face markings"
"She actually listens to you":rolleyes:
"How old is she" and when I respond with almost 2 it's "but she looks like a puppy!"

And when I'm with all three:
"So, you like those winer dogs huh"
 
In doggie-parks: "That dachsie is gorgeous!"
Everywhere: "How old is he?" (Manu has grey spots...) "Nice color" "What are those spots on his face?"
 
What are they mixed with?
Are they albino?
I've never seen a white one before
Something wrong with her eyes?
How old is your puppy (3.5 years old LOL)
Awe they're so tiny!
Are they related?
 
I hear a lot ...
- her ears are so cute
- she's tiny is she gonna grow more!??
-why does she wear a bell?
The most common one is
- she looks like the one my( mom, sister, friend ) had..
 
"He is so cute"
"I had one dachshund a few years ago" - most common ;)
Kids: "can I pet the dog?"
They laugh and laugh and laugh when I show them that he knows a lot of tricks ;)
 
Seems like the most common thing I hear is

"I used to own one."

or

"I've always loved dachshunds."

Seems like everyone in the world ends up with a dachshund eventually.
 
How old is she.. (HE is almost 2.. but he has a lot of white and grey) Lol
Is he house broken
I've never seen that color.. he's a dapple
What's he mixed with.. I hear that a lot. Lol they don't even ask if he's a mix.
I love the markings on his face.
And last but not least.. wow he's really attached to you.. that's when we're at the dog park.
 
people ask "what kind of dog is that, i've never seen that before" lol or "look at it's tail going" his tail goes real fast when he sees a butterfly

LOL Those of us who would have never dreamed they'd one day have one (and worse have 2 and be smitten) can well agree! LOL

Lol its true. When my boyfriend called me and asked if I wanted a weiner dog puppy I said "eww no"..But then he said "but he needs a home because a coworker cant take care of him anymore" and who can say no to that? Now I want a second one so badly!!
