Fayette County, OH - The very thought of dogs dying in a gas chamber is enough to turn the stomach. Knowing that innocent lives are lost in such an antiquated and inhumane manner is deplorable, but things are changing in one Ohio county.Fayette County Commissioners turned the county dog pound over to Sheriff Stanforth on October 12, and the sheriff promptly made a huge change at the facility - he banned use of the gas chamber as a means of dog euthanasia.
