My dachshund puppy was solid black when I bought him as a puppy. His father was dapple. When we were crate training, he would stick his nose in between the wires and rest his head there. Since then,the spots where he was resting his nose, the hair has turned white. This hair has stayed white for more than 7 months. I was wondering, is this normal process of all solid colored dogs and the hair grow back black with his next seasonal shed? Or is he a dapple dachshund?
