She definitely looks like a wire maybe a wire/long hair cross. Does her pedigree have English cream in it? I've never seen a wire English cream before, I would lean more towards her being a ee red which is just a really light red.

Its true that a lot of reds will lose their shading to reveal the red/brown coloring more but if you are wanting him to become a redder brown, I doubt that will happen.

Though I'd post a little update. I ended up using vanilla extract on Winston's chest and the back of Lily's legs to help mask the scent. It seemed to help some and after about three days he calmed down. Winston was neutered 3 days ago and all is well.
