I've been trying to come up with some mentally stimulating games for Frankie because she is showing us every day that she is one smart cookie! I've tried some ideas from others on the forum - a treat ball, hiding her toys around the house etc. but was wondering if anyone else has some fun...

Like others have said - be consistent! We take our 7 month old outside at the same time (roughly) in the morning, afternoon and evening. We also have a "catch phrase" for her. For instance, we leave the house at 6:15 a.m., walk the same route, and when she pees we say, "Take care of business!"...

We're discovering that Frankie LOVES bully sticks, a plastic water/soda bottle wrapped in an old t-shirt and her stuffed T-Rex. That stuffed dinosaur is the only stuffed animal/soft toy that she likes and we can't figure out why! She is also a huge food fan :)

Thanks! She LOVES her crate, which is a huge plus. We don't crate her while we are at work, but for short periods of time while we're at home. She just lays down and sleeps and doesn't make a peep! Your dogs are adorable! I like the idea of walking with a ball. I think she'd love that!

We adopted Frankie from a family that couldn't care for her anymore. We aren't entirely sure what her back story is, but it seems that she was well cared for and loved - we definitely lucked out! I am so glad that adopting adult dogs has worked well for you! We are excited to adopt an adult...
