My boy Blaze is attached at my hip. Don't get me wrong I love his company, but it gets tough when I need to leave him and he whines, cries, or barks even in his kennel sometimes. Any suggestions on how I can get him to overcome this seperation anxiety?

My mini dachshund Blaze won't stop whining whenever I leave, don't give him enough attention, or he's anxious and it bothers my roommate and distracts me from doing homework when he wants something from me. How do get my dog off this whining habit??!!!
