Can Dashies eat tomatoes

I was just wondering if its ok to give dashie tomatoes. Sometimes when im cooking ill be cutting tomatoes and ill give him a piece and he loves it, just wanna make sure its ok.

Huge amounts of tomatoes are bad, and so are green unripened tomatoes/ tomato plants. A small piece here and there isn't going to hurt though it might make them a little gassy.

I actually had to ask the vet at work that question because I wasn't sure.

I didn't know about tomatoes, but I've read that these are bad for dogs:
onions, garlic, chocolate, xylitol, grapes, chicken-bones

I have to admit, before I read about grapes, I had given Manu some; he loved them!! :D And they didn't kill him either... ;)

They say its the seeds in the grapes that are bad for dogs.

My dogs eat all kinds of vegetables, but I try to give them anything that would tend to upset their stomachs or cause copious amounts of gas. I usually gauge that by what veggies do to me. I find veggies like onions, broccoli and cauliflower tend to be gassy, so I avoid them. My dogs love carrots and do well with them and won't each tomatoes have a texture they don't like.
